Paleontology

The paleontology collection on the upper floor showcases hundreds of fossil specimens that tell the story of the development and evolution of life on Earth.

Here, you will have the chance to inspect fossil specimens from some of the earliest invertebrates and plants of the Paleozoic era, dinosaurs from the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, and even specimens from the last ice-age during the Pleistocene epoch.

Throughout the exhibit you will find stunning models by artists Ed Herman as well as Walter Evans that give us a glimpse of how these fantastic creatures would have looked when alive. The velociraptor model on display here by Ed Herman was used as a prototype in the production of the Jurassic Park films.
