North American Animals

Located on our mezzanine, the North American Animals exhibit has over 35 taxidermy specimens of North American animal species.  Many of the species displayed here have natural habitats here in Kern county such as the coyote, black bear, lynx and mountain lion. In fact, both of our black bears come to us from nearby Tehachapi. Others, like the caribou, big horn sheep, musk ox and peccary  are found in other parts of the USA, Canada and Mexico. The exhibit also features some touchable specimens as well.
