Understanding Scorpion Fluorescence presented by Dr. Carl Kloock. Scorpions possess an Unusual ability in the animal kingdom. When exposed to ultraviolet light, they fluoresce in the visible spectrum. This talk will explore the natural history of scorpions with a focus on how scorpion fluorescence may help them survive and reproduce in their environment. Other animals that fluoresce, including several that occur locally, will also be discussed.
