Geology and Hollywood! Dr. Wilkerson will examine the history of geology in film. You will watch selected film clips to learn about films that use a motif of global warming as a pretext for a reverse story about global cooling.

About the Event
Dr. Wilkerson is a geologist and renaissance man with interests in economic geology, mining and mineral development history, military vehicle restoration, archaeology of the Old Testament, and yoga.
Dr. Wilkerson received his B.A. in geology at the University of California at Santa Barbara and his doctorate in geologic science at the University of Texas, El Paso. He has multi-cultural work experience in geology, economic analysis and environmental management including tours of duty at 3 universities, 6 mining companies, and 2 government agencies since 1974. He has managed or investigated projects in all western United States, Canada, Mexico, Chili and Honduras.
